This programme encompasses accounting in its international, public and private contexts, corporate financial management, private sector investment and foreign exchange markets; it aims to give a deep knowledge of the theoretical and empirical literature that provides the background to understanding changes and innovations in accounting and finance; students also learn a range of techniques that can be used to solve real-life problems.

At least an Upper 2nd Class degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent. The degree must be in a relevant subject and applicants must have studied and achieved a mark equivalent to a 2.1 at Bachelor’s level in basic accounting, intermediate accounting, corporate finance and financial management (or equivalent) modules. In addition, applicants should have studied the majority of audit, tax, management/cost accounting, and financial statement analysis modules at Bachelor’s level. Standard English language requirements apply.
Compulsory modules: financial accounting theory and policy; theory of financial management.
