We have an international reputation for our work in animal science. We focus on the areas of animal reproduction, development and production. Our research in the area of animal production covers major livestock species. We work on feed efficiency and sustainability in ruminant and non-ruminant systems.

Summary
The research focus of the School's Animal Sciences group is the physiology of reproduction in mammals, particularly in relation to improving or regulating fertility. Work is carried out mostly on domestic species, although occasionally wild populations are studied, and findings are related to human and animal medicine.
