Summary
This programme develops the candidate into a high quality coach through learning in a research led environment; students develop their skills and understanding of new developments and theory in coaching and its allied areas and integrate this knowledge into their own personal practice; the programme consists of 3 taught modules. Students engage with the multi-disciplinary nature of coaching and performance and use player to data to produce an applied development strategy using case studies designed to develop an understanding of the difficulties involved in player development. Students learn through an innovative blended delivery using both high quality online resources complemented with face to face discussion time with academics and leaders in the programme fields; students develop their use of theory in practice and reflect upon their own personal coaching philosophy and development in light of new knowledge.
