Summary

Fully accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), this programme is designed to develop students as reflective practitioners in the planning profession and related disciplines in the built environment; the structure enables students to combine the core modules and material in spatial planning with a specialist focus in fields such as urban regeneration, community based planning, economic development, housing and transport planning.

CURS has a limited number of bursaries (paid at ESRC rates) for research students, normally awarded to full-time UK / EU students;
CURS also has a fund (the Pat Cam Award) to help students take part in conferences and fieldwork; we also have one scholarship for international students of outstanding merit applying for a PhD: the Barbara M.D. Smith Scholarship; this provides the difference between the tuition fee for a home / EU postgraduate students and the international postgraduate student fee; the scholarship is tenable for one year, and renewable for a second and third year subject to satisfactory progress.
