New Universities In The UK

New UniversitiesPerhaps your idea of a UK university is an ancient institution that has existing for hundreds of years. Maybe you
even think that new universities don't get established in the UK anymore. Well if that's the case you couldn't be more wrong!

Recently there has been a trend for establishing new universities in the UK. In many cases these are former higher education institutions that have become full-status universities following a recent change in the eligibility criteria as the UK government has dropped the minimum student numbers for an institution to qualify for university status from 4,000 students to 1,000 students.

This means that as well as the more traditional (and in some cases ancient) universitues, now you can find some great new universities in the UK. These new universities tend to have a smaller postgraduate student cohort and are therefore offering a more personal postgraduate experience – providing excellent postgraduate options leading to fantastic opportunities for your career

Here are details of some of the best new universities in the UK with some of their postgrad facts and figures.
