The Guardian University Guide, Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide and Complete University guide (2017) rank Cardiff Metropolitan University as the top new university in Wales. The University was also ranked top in the UK for the overall quality of its International student support by the International student Barometer (ISB), for the 6th year.

We have been ranked as the top post-1992 UK university for research according to the latest (2014) Research Excellence Framework (REF).

Our courses are developed in conjunction with business and industry. All our academic schools maintain close links with the working world, via work placements, visiting lecturers, research and consultancy. This emphasis on your future career has led to the majority of our graduates going straight into employment or onto further study after graduation. The University has been ranked top in Wales for graduate employment by the most recent DLHE survey (2015), scoring a fantastic 96% employability rate.

Europe’s youngest capital city 
Cardiff Met is situated in  Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, a country with a long history of welcoming students from all over the world. Located only two hours west of London by train, Cardiff has an exciting and diverse character and has recently been named as one of the top ten cities in Europe. A young, prosperous and vibrant city, Cardiff has a range of first-class facilities for sport,  entertainmentnightlifeshopping and sightseeing. With attractive countryside and coastal scenery on the doorstep, Cardiff truly has something for everyone.

World-class facilities
Cardiff Met boasts world class facilities, which include the multi million pound, state-of-the-art Cardiff School of Management campus which was opened in September 2010. The university is continuing to invest in its facilities and recently announced plans to open a new 14million Arts and Design Building. Cardiff Met also offers world class academic and sporting facilities, including a National Indoor Athletics Centre and a dedicated world-leading Performance Analysis laboratory. Our students also benefit from a world-class library and IT resource centre and on campus accommodation.

Entry requirements for academic programmes differ from course to course. The University values both work experience and academic qualifications and will consider students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Students may also need to undertake an English qualification before being admitted onto a course.
