1. Course summary - Seek out and develop a depth of knowledge and understanding of management theories and specialised aspects of the hospitality business.

  • Critically evaluate and apply concepts to problems and issues in the international hospitality industry.

  • Explore your own value and belief systems and share ideas with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds, thus promoting internationalisation.

Applied learning

Work placements

The work experience route involves a 16-12 month work placement (September start only) in the UK or overseas. During your placement you improve your practical management skills and employability, gaining real experience in industry.

We help you secure a placement by running employability workshops and have a dedicated placement team to support you. Past students have had placements with world leaders in hospitality including Ritz Carlton, The Gleneagles Hotel, Hilton hotels, JW Marriott and Intercontinental Hotels Group, including Holiday Inns and Crown Plaza Hotels.

Live projects

The course includes guest lecturers from industry experts, the use and familiarisation with online and video technologies, field trips and the opportunity to participate in real life consulting projects.
