Cognitive neuroscience studies the biological processes that make up cognition i.e.the complex mental functions such as consciousness, perception, memory, language, emotion and attention. Our cognitive neuroscience masters course is unique inits dual emphasis on specialist training in the area of cognitive neuroscience, as well as on generic and transferable research skills for career and professional development.
During your time at Aston, you will study specialist modules that combine theory and practice in paired sessions consisting of a lecture and an associated research practical.

Upper second class honours degree (2:1) or above, or equivalent overseas degree recognised by Aston University in psychology or a related field such as biology.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of an English language qualification.
