Our Pharmaceutical Science masters course will provide the skills and knowledge required for today’s pharmaceutical scientist. You will gain the ability to provide effective pharmaceutical formulation strategies for current and future drug therapies and medicinal products. Throughout you’ll enhance your understanding of the design, development and production of medicines as you learn about regulatory affairs and the drug industry.
The course will build your research methods and critical thinking skills for application both within and outside of academia. Our broad range of topics such as drug discovery, drug dosage form as well as selective toxicity and design and chemotherapy will ensure you possess the necessary skillset for the various pathways the pharmaceutical industry provides. You’ll be prepared for a variety of careers such as analytical sciences, formulation development, project management, regulatory affairs, scientific writing and further studies.

Applicants must possess a good honours degree (minimum lower 2nd class) from a recognised university in one of the following subjects (or a related field): Pharmacy; pharmaceutical science; pharmacology; physiology; physical science; biochemistry; biotechnology; chemistry; chemical engineering; genetics; materials science; medicine.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of an English language qualification. English language test requirements may be waived where students’ undergraduate degree was studied in an English speaking country.
