Examine key issues related to the teaching and learning of second and foreign languages, and discuss the research approaches used to examine these issues. From the role of instruction and feedback to the impact of motivation in learning, we explore the factors that can impact successful language learning and consider how second and foreign language learning can best be supported within the language classroom. This pathway will suit anyone who has experience of, or is interested in, the teaching of second or foreign languages.
