Summary
Collaborative research provides a far greater scope and as such, our exploration into how the future energy world will operate without fossil fuels is undertaken in partnership with Cardiff and Sheffield. We also collaborate across a variety of disciplines including; engineering, chemistry, physics, maths, psychology, sociology and politics.
This four year CDT comprises of an initial year of structured training during which you will produce a literature review and a plan for your research project. You will then carry out that research over the next three years.
Your project may be based at the University, with your sponsor or split between the two.

Entry requirements | A First or Upper Second Class degree or MSc in a relevant subject such as Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics. We also welcome applications from those with a similar qualification in a Social Science discipline such as Psychology, Sociology or Politics but with an established interest in relevant technological areas relating to energy topics. IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in each element). As well as IELTS (listed above), we also accept other English language qualifications. This includes TOEFL iBT, Pearson PTE, GCSE, IB and O level English. |
