Summary

Are you considering a career as an academic or professional researcher? Are you a recent graduate who has already taken up a career but want to develop your research methods skills and practice? This masters-level course is designed to train you across social science disciplines in research methods skills and practice.

Our Social Research Methods MSc provides extensive, in-depth postgraduate training and provides you with a solid foundation for doctoral studies and further research work as academics, or career development as professional researchers.

The course is particularly relevant for those considering applying for an ESRC-accredited PhD programme in social policy or business studies. It includes core and intermediate-level research methods modules as well as the opportunity to study creative, innovative and advanced research methods.

If you do not wish to study for a masters, there are exit awards available for postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma.
