Summary
Big Data, Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence are impacting almost every industry, policy sector and individual in the world.
There has never been a more important time to be studying the ethical and legal challenges posed by the use of technology in times of rapid datafication and automation. We create and consume data on a daily basis, often relying heavily on data driven systems, both as a society and as individuals: smart cities, predictive justice, or even the buying recommendations on your Amazon feed, are a few telling examples of how algorithms have been dictating a new way of life.
This programme provides a specialisation in new and developing fields of theoretical and practical legal implications of these new technologies and their widespread adoption through modules including Cyberlaw, Regulating Technologies and Law, Society and Governance.
