This full-time, two-year Masters programme combines theory, practical elements, teaching and research with personal treatment sessions and new-patient diagnostic clinics.
The programme aims to equip students with the skills to understand the principles of normal and abnormal facial growth, diagnose malocclusions, identify aetiological factors, develop appropriate treatment plans, appreciate the scope and limitations of orthodontic treatment, treat malocclusions to a high standard of outcome, and to be aware of the factors associated with stability of the result.
Students undertake modules to the value of 360 credits.
Year one consists of 6 compulsory modules (150 credits). Year two consists of 4 compulsory modules (120 credits) and a research dissertation (90 credits). For those doing a 3rd affiliate year, this is non-credit bearing.
Upon successful completion of 360 credits, you will be awarded a MClinDent in Orthodontics.
