Summary
If you have a degree and experience in the Health and Social Care sectors and you wish to become a qualified social worker then this is the course for you. The course will provide you with an opportunity to both study and work in Children and Families as well as Adult Social Work giving you the freedom to plan and take forward your career the way you want to.
The Social Work Masters degree is a two-year full-time course which is approved by Social Work England (SWE). Therefore if you successfully complete it, you'll be eligible to apply for registration with Social Work England.
We work closely with employers in the statutory and independent social care sectors to ensure that the course and placements provided reflect the latest developments in practice in terms of legislation, policy and multi-agency working.

Entry requirements | You will need: an undergraduate degree (minimum 2.1) or other recognised equivalent qualification; approximately 100 days (or equivalent) of social care related experience - you may be working towards the 100 days of experience at the time of application but the experience must be completed before the start of the course and this must be stated in your personal statement; to provide one reference - this reference should show evidence of relevant social care related experience; GCSE English and maths grade C or above. You will be interviewed as part of the admissions process and you will need to meet a number of other criteria. |

Summary
This course is designed for those who have a degree and experience in the health and social care work field and wish to become a qualified social worker. This course has Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) approval which allows individuals who successfully complete the course to be eligible to apply for registration with the HCPC. Teaching is carried out by staff from a range of professional backgrounds and is underpinned by research, providing you with a balance between academic and applied educational experiences.
