Our International Economics and Finance MSc will help you gain an international perspective in the role of finance and monetary policy. Our International Economics and Finance MSc is suitable for those without a financial background. It is also for those interested in a management career with an emphasis on finance and international economics. The behaviour of public and private sector organisations is influenced by international economic developments in the financial and goods markets. What you'll learn: You'll learn to understand and analyse: international finance markets the international trading system the role played by key supranational institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO)

You'll also have access to a number of financial databases including: Bloomberg DataStream Fame Amadeus WRDS Compustat CRSP Oriana Global Financial Database
Your development: On completion of this course, you'll be able to: deploy the main analytical techniques in the area of finance and have an advanced capability with some of these techniques critically assess the quality of the analytical data generated by these techniques synthesise and present relevant data, conclusions and recommendations to both specialist and non-specialist audiences exercise responsibility and leadership in group projects apply knowledge, skills and understanding to complex issues within finance and related industries
You'll be able to showcase professional skills including a comprehensive set of technical and quantitative skills. These are highly valued in the private sector.
If you wish to pursue further research for a career in research institutions or central banks you'll be able to gain preliminary training.
