This three-year postgraduate course has been designed for graduates who would like to gain the knowledge, skills and values necessary to register as midwives on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) professional register. It is taught across the Kingston Hill and the St George's, University of London campuses.

What will you study? Topics include maternal and neonatal physiology, professional, ethical and legal issues, public health and research. At least 50 per cent of learning is practice-based. You will work with midwives in hospitals and the community, caring for women and their families through pregnancy and birth and providing postnatal care.

Our 2021 curriculum is currently being revised in line with the new NMC standards.
