Kingston University: Midwifery (Registered Midwife for Registered Nurses)

This course has been designed for registered adult nurses who have already studied at degree level who would like to gain the knowledge, skills and values necessary to register as midwives on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) professional register. You will be offered clinical experience within local NHS trusts and the surrounding community. We aim to co-ordinate your clinical placements to reflect the modules being studied, integrating theory and practice.

Registration as an Adult Nurse (RNA) on the NMC Professional Register for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors (Parts 1 and 10). Candidates pursuing the PgDip strand must have achieved a BSc(Hons) in Adult Nursing at grade 2.2 or above. Our selection process includes an interview; occupational health clearance; disclosure and barring service enhanced disclosure check.
