Summary

The centre's scientific goal is to undertake interdisciplinary research and training, bringing together genetic and environmental strategies in order to understand how nature and nurture interact in the development of complex behavioural disorders and dimensions; research focuses on key common mental health problems that are most likely to profit from a developmental nature-nurture interdisciplinary strategy; key areas include: Emotional disorders (especially anxiety and depression); disorders involving disruptive behaviour (including hyperactivity); disorders involving cognitive problems (including problems related to theory of mind, executive function and language).
