University of Warwick
The University of Warwick is a world-class campus university, renowned for its excellent teaching and ground-breaking research. We are ranked 64th in the QS World University Guide 2023 and listed within the top ten UK universities in all three major national league tables. However, we are so much more than our rankings.
We provide a platform for the curious; we inspire, we excite, and we invigorate. Our students are our priority and at Warwick, they are challenged, supported, and guided by some of the world's finest minds. Whether you want to aim for a successful career after study or take your existing career to new heights, we want you to be a part of our community.
Teaching and learning
At Warwick, teaching is at the heart of everything we do. We challenge and inspire our students to think critically and innovatively. We are at the forefront of interdisciplinary research and encourage unbounded learning, enabling you to reach your full potential. Take your research in any direction with our PGR courses or develop your independent learning alongside structured teaching with our PGT courses.
You’ll strengthen your transferable skills gained from your undergraduate degree, such as oral communication and project organisation, that will aid you in your future career, whether within or outside of academia. The Times and Sunday Times named us University of the Year for Teaching Quality 2022, an accolade that attests to the dedication and inspiration of our teaching staff.
Careers and employability
We focus on providing students with a framework of employability that allows them to stand out. We encourage innovative ways to gain skills and experience, which will help you secure your career after study or propel your current career further.
Through virtual and physical events, Warwick welcomes over 300 organisations from a range of job sectors every year, helping you to build connections and refine your current career pathway. We are the 5th most targeted university by the largest numbers of top UK graduate employers (The Graduate Market in 2023, High Fliers Research Ltd.), so you can be sure employers will welcome your skills and expertise.
Student life on campus
Warwick is more than an institution; it is a community that thrives because of the close connection between its people and a host of facilities that provide students with a wealth of opportunity.
Our Postgraduate Hub and Wolfson Research Exchange in the Library are dedicated spaces for postgraduates, where you can access support, work collaboratively, and attend regular events and workshops. Everything you need is close by on our campus, including shops, banks, bars, cafés, and restaurants. You can also explore our quieter spots, from calm lakes to beautiful woodland.
Here to support you
We know how important it is for you to feel safe and supported while you’re here at Warwick. We provide a welcoming environment for all our students, so they can make the most of every experience presented to them.
Our wellbeing services and specialist teams can help with all aspects of postgraduate life. You will be assigned a Personal Tutor (PGT) or a Supervisor (PGR) who can offer academic support, while our Doctoral College provides advice on applications, academic progression, awards, and scholarships. If you’re living in our campus halls of residence, you will also have support from our Residential Community Team, made up of staff and students. We’re committed to ensuring you have easy access to many sources of advice and help throughout your time with us.
