Meet Our Students
Sayali Walavalkar, India
LLM Human Rights Law
One particular highlight was getting a chance to volunteer with the University Law Clinic under the leadership of my course leader Dr. Elaine Webster. We worked the project with InControl Scotland where we got a chance to interview the relevant stakeholders such as the Advocates and Solicitors dealing with the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013.
Tinotenda Jakazi, Zimbabwe
LLM International Commercial Law
The academic reputation of the University of Strathclyde, as a leading research institution was of particular attraction to me, especially the rankings of its law department among other prominent global educational institutions. I was also attracted to Strathclyde by the beauty and culture of Glasgow.
Gordon McKinlay, United Kingdom
MSc Mediation and Conflict Resolution
Taking the time to think deeply, read widely and engage with others has proved to be extremely valuable. The combination of approaches to learning have been challenging with a real highlight being the practical workshops associated with the practice of mediation. The opportunity to volunteer with the mediation clinic has also provided valuable experience out with my normal setting which I could never have gained in any other way.
Nicola Sharman, United Kingdom
LLM Global Environmental Law and Governance
Having the opportunity to study alongside such a diverse range of people, from different countries, at various stages of their life and with different career ambitions, was amazing. I think we learnt a lot from each other.
