Real World Opportunities
Some of our programmes also provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience by undertaking a consultancy or client-based project. Projects bring students and client organisations together to help identify and present solutions to business issues. This gives the students the chance to develop core business skills while working for a real-world organisation.
Teaching Underpinned by Research
More than half of the University of Lincoln’s submitted research was rated as internationally excellent or world leading. Teaching staff are engaged in their own research and students can benefit from this academic expertise in areas such as Marketing and Supply Chain Research, Visitor Economy Research, Community Organisation Research, Regional Innovation and Enterprise, Responsible Management and Economics and Finance.
The business school is home to The Business Society, Women at Work Society and Economics Society which provide the opportunity to get involved with a variety of events and guest speakers from industry. The business school also operates the Lincoln Student Management Investment Fund (LSMIF). This is an investment fund created, operated, and maintained by students within the school under the close supervision of our academic team. The fund uses donations from the public or sponsors and the money it generates from its successful trades helps to finance future investments.
