This professionally endorsed award is particularly suitable for graduates who have increasingly found themselves working in the field of youth and community work and who wish to gain a professional qualification. The programme requires students to undertake two separate supervised placements in the field of youth and community work. Students attend university on one evening a week where they undertake taught modules and tutorials. Students on this programme tend to develop into a highly supportive, friendly and analytical professional group. The course is currently endorsed by ETS (Wales) for youth work and is seeking endorsement for community development from Community Development Cymru.

Applicants should have a minimum of 200 hours of direct experience in the field of youth and community work; community development work or associated occupational groups. In addition applicants should normally possess a degree or a related professional qualification. Please contact the Programme Director to discuss this further.
