5 Christmas Gifts for Your Fellow Postgrads

Christmas is a time for giving and spending memorable moments with your loved ones. It is a time when you may become nostalgic and miss your family and friends. You may want to give your fellow postgrads (in particular the ones you really like) a gift, but being a student means you will always be hard up for cash. Do not let that get your spirits down! In fact, you can still give your fellow postgrads some great Christmas gifts that they would appreciate.

Here are five Christmas gifts that you can gift your fellow postgrads. You do not have to restrict these gifts just to students who are your friends.

Make Chicken Soup for a Postgrad Who is Down with Flu It is Christmas; the season for giving and caring. Being ill and laid up with flu is no joke. A person feels miserable when he/she has flu. In addition, it is the festive season and being laid down with an illness can make you feel even worse. So, bring some cheer into a fellow postgrad’s life by making some hot and delicious chicken soup . Remember, chicken soup is the ultimate comfort food and it will not only make the person feel better, it also will show him or her that there is someone around to care.

Make a Wine Cork Wreath If your love for wine is legendary in the dorm, it is time to show your fellow postgrads that you are fun and also sensitive. Make a unique wreath with wine corks and present it to a fellow postgrad, so that he or she can hang it on their dorm room door. Not only is this an inexpensive gift, as you will be using corks from all the wine you have been guzzling, it also is a funny and matchless gift.

Run Errands If there is a fellow postgrad who is too busy writing his or her thesis, you can help them out by helping with their minor tasks. Not only is this a wonderful and thoughtful Christmas gift, you also will be able to ensure the person gets sufficient time to finish the thesis or dissertation – something that the person will truly appreciate.

Give a Fellow Postgrad a Night Off If there is a postgrad student with kids and spouse, you can always volunteer to babysit while the student and his (or her spouse) spend some quality time alone. You can take the kids for a movie, or babysit them at the student’s home. Spending some quality time with a spouse without having to worry about your kids is a wonderful Christmas gift that any parent would appreciate and love.

Offer Your Skills If you are good at repairing cars or appliances, offer your skills to a fellow postgrad for free this Christmas. You can repair their car; fix their appliances or even the music system. As long as you can fix it, they will not say no. So, this Christmas do something for a fellow student and watch how his/her face lights up when you help recover their sabotaged belongings. The satisfaction of seeing their smile should be sufficient compensation for you.

Christmas is not about giving expensive gifts. You can do simple things for free and still make the person’s Christmas special and memorable. So, put on your thinking cap and come up with ways to make Christmas special for your fellow postgrads .
