The course is ideal if you are new to a leadership or senior management role and applicable to a wide range of settings across the public, private or third sectors and in all areas of the economy. You will be enrolled onto a Senior Leader Apprenticeship with the option of a qualification, in the form of a PG Diploma. This will be charged at a nominal fee of £550.
Our Senior Leader Apprenticeship uses our unique expertise to develop leaders and managers who are equipped to face the future and create thriving initiatives in challenging times.
Exceptional leadership and management are critical to success. Our Senior Leader Apprenticeship is a dynamic course designed to help develop your key leadership and management capabilities within a professional, work-related context.
The programme will enable you to continue to earn while learning and to apply your knowledge to improve your leadership skills within the workplace. It also offers you the additional benefits of becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). As well as learning while you earn, the benefits of studying this course include:
A Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Leadership (Subject to £550 award fee)

Top-up to a Masters qualification
Upon successful completion of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship (including the PG Diploma) you have the option to top up your award to a Masters; this will possible by completing a final work-based project.
This work-based project will require you to choose a subject area which has direct relevance and ‘real life’ impact in the context of your workplace. The chosen subject will need to be discussed and approved by your employer.
This top-up qualification is in addition to the Senior Leader Apprenticeship and will need to be self-funded or funded with the support of your employer. Please contact us at degreesatwork@aru.ac.uk for more information.
