High-quality study facilities includes state of the art lecture theatres, a mock law court, forensic science labs, a scene of crime unit, mock hospital wards, a simulation suite & engineering studios and a TV studio.
The new £20million School of Medicine which opened in September 2018 at the Chelmsford campus and is Essex’s first medical school.
Our new Science Centre, opened January 2018. Based at our Cambridge campus, our £45 million investment will offer students and researchers in psychology, animal biology, and biomedical science and forensics the most up-to-date facilities in which to develop their STEMM careers.

Drawing together our teaching, research and innovation activities, we support the delivery of MedTech sector-related initiatives such as the MedTech Campus in which the delivery of three Essex-based science parks will take place, boosting both the economic advancement of the region and the sector as a whole.

Scholarships & funding
International Merit Scholarship
Students will automatically be considered for these scholarships. Students should be applying for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree to obtain these. These award students with £2,000 or £1,000 towards their total course fee.
International Alumni Scholarship
Students will automatically be considered for this scholarship of £3,000 if they have successfully completed an Anglia Ruskin University degree and are applying for either a full-time taught masters course, a full-time research degree or the Legal Practice course.
International Early Payment Discount
Students who pay tuition fees early can take advantage of the £1,000 early payment discount. They will automatically be considered for this discount. It is available to first-year undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, who are studying full-time.
For the one-year MBA, the University offers a £4,000 scholarship to all successful international applicants. For the two-year MBA with one-year industry work placement, students are offered a £2,000 scholarship.
English language requirements
The standard entry criteria for postgraduate courses is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with nothing lower than 5.5 in any of the four elements (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
We also accept…
- ETS TOEFL iBT with 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in writing and listening, 18 in reading and 20 in speaking.
- Pearson PTE with 61 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components.
Our Postgraduate programmes commence in January, May and September.
