Summary
Do new financial & insurance regulations lead to a greater transparency and reduction of risk in order to make financial systems more stable and better regulated? Do they make the global markets safer? How can new capital and bank structure rules strengthen the resilience to another financial crisis and to provide greater consumer protection?
Switzerland, being attractive for both domestic and foreign companies seeking capital, is one of the world's leading financial centers and is characterized by its innovative ability, stability and security. Due to the high density of international and local financial service providers, companies from other industries have access to a sophisticated and liquid capital market, as well as state-of-the-art financial infrastructure.
The program is designed to give graduates from around the world a solid grounding in inter-national banking, finance, and insurance law. It focuses on international organizations and their regulations, the basis for regulation, and the characteristics of the most important finan-cial markets. Also you will get an in-depth study of the regulation of market participants, fi-nancial services, and the marketing of financial products as well as the relevant treaties.

| Modules | You are required to take all general courses, the modules of the specialization course and to submit a thesis to conclude the program. The General Course lectures build the foundation for the subsequent Specialization Course. Courses are delivered through a blend of international experts (30% professors, 70% practi-tioners). The use of international sources, such as conventions, means you learn about the law in Switzerland, the EU while also developing a broader international perspective.
