Summary

The LLM in Art Law is a unique collaborative and cross-disciplinary programme which will provide you with a deep understanding of the complex legal, artistic, social and ethical problems raised by the global art trade, estimated to be worth over $45 billion in 2017. Exceptionally, the programme is co-taught by academic specialists from both the research-active Department of History of Art and York Law School, providing you with a unique integrated and cross-disciplinary learning environment. This LLM uses a variety of innovative teaching methods including ‘Problem Based Learning’ which will provide you with opportunities to work collaboratively and individually.
