By beginning your journey with a PGCE at the University of Worcester, you can be confident that our specialist (QTS) Psychology programme will leave you well-prepared to become a successful Psychology teacher for 14-19-year-olds.**
As an Ofsted rated Outstanding Provider, we will support you to develop inspiring teaching techniques. Our PGCE offers you the opportunity to gain the required expertise to teach a second subject, to maximize your potential as a teacher and increase your employability. You can explore a variety of Psychology teaching, as we provide you with transformative placement opportunities to gain ‘on the job’ experience, through our practical approach to learning.
Throughout the learning process you will be supported by our lecturers with in-school experience, who will allow you opportunities to debate Psychology pedagogy with your peers and industry experts to develop your self-reflective practice. Our PGCE equips you with the skills to go on to inspire future generations, whilst you develop your subject knowledge of Psychology.

The course focuses on practical learning through activities, which may include:
- planning and performing the "Oedipus and Electra" play
- using technology to engage and motivate
- designing and delivering a research day with partnership schools
- working with partnership schools in University
- exploring psychology in the outdoor classroom
- You will also have the option to develop the skills to teach a second subject.
