  • empower people, communities and populations to take control of their own health decisions and behaviours

  • care for people of different ages, backgrounds, cultures and beliefs

  • care for people at the end of their lives

  • play a proactive role in multidisciplinary teams

  • think critically and apply your knowledge and skills

Placement

Your placement is an essential part of your course and will take up an equal amount of time as your studies in university. It will help you to apply your learning in a real-world setting.

You will undertake placements in each year of your course; these will be based in both acute and community settings.

You will be allocated a variety of placements, which will enable you to experience the range of hours expected of registered nurses. This will include shift patterns and some nights and weekends.
