Summary
This MSc is a conversion course that gives you a thorough grounding in psychology. You don’t need any prior formal psychology education.
We offer one of the widest ranges of research interests in the UK. Our research groups are in Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental and Clinical Psychology, and Social and Applied Psychology.
You will study:
- biological, cognitive, social and developmental psychology
- the philosophical and ethical foundations of psychology
- research methods.
**Accreditation**
Accredited against the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
We understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision. Entry requirements | You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. You may also be considered for the course if you have other qualifications of equivalent standing. We also consider applicants who can show successful completion of at least three years' basic medical science at a UK medical school (having gained at least 360 credits) with a guaranteed place to continue medical studies on completion of the MSc. You can study this course if you do not have previous training in psychology and want to obtain a qualification that provides Graduate Basis for Chartered Memberships (GBC) with the British Psychological Society. |
