This is new provision to support the advancing practice of radiographers in the field of CT Colonography. CT Colonography is now the gold standard of imaging of the large bowel, replacing Barium Enemas. Barium Enema practice has been a long established area of role extension for radiographers and with the continued shortage of radiologists the conduct of CTC and eventually the reporting of CTC will increasingly become an area of potential growth in demand and thus an identified area of extended practice for radiographers.
