This course is designed for healthcare professionals such as podiatrists, occupational therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, psychological therapists, and other suitably qualified individuals who wish to integrate Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) into their practice at an introductory level.

- Understand and evaluate the theory and practical application of CBT.
- Practice CBT skills with peers in class and in a placement or workplace setting.

- You want to enhance your therapeutic practice with CBT skills.
- You have access to clients or patients where you can apply your CBT skills during the course.
**What will I be doing?**
This is a one-year, part-time course delivered over two ten-week semesters.
**What about after uni?**
CBT is recognised by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) as the therapy of choice for anxiety, depression, addictive behaviour, and anxiety disorders. This course enhances the training of counsellors, psychotherapists, and healthcare professionals, leading to improved employability opportunities.

Entry requirements | To be eligible for the programme, applicants must have either: In addition, applicants must currently be working or volunteering in a healthcare setting, either as a counsellor/psychotherapist or in a health/social care-related discipline. You will also need to use CBT skills within your work or voluntary placement and have access to at least one client and 20 hours of supervised practice. For international applicants, proof of English language proficiency is required, with an IELTS score of 6.0 (no element below 5.5). |
