Summary

Our MSc Agricultural Economics course will help you to understand economic concepts and policies to promote world agricultural development
With an ever-increasing world population and growing pressure on the world's finite resources, the analytical skills of agricultural economists are as relevant as ever. During this course, you will combine theory with applied material as you develop various skills in econometrics, cost–benefit analysis and modelling.

Class sizes vary by subject and module, but emphasis is always placed on good contact time with lecturers. Learning occurs across a variety of lectures, seminars, tutorials and field trips.

As a student at Reading, you will have access to all the University's internet, printing and scanning facilities, as well as a full range of statistical and econometric software. Excellent opportunities exist for research, networking and personal development within each programme, as well as access to first-class study resources and employability support.

On joining this course, you will become a member of the School's Graduate Institute of International Development, Agriculture and Economics (GIIDAE). As a GIIDAE student, you will have the option of undertaking a placement during the summer period, however this is not a requirement of the degree.

For information on the scholarships, modules, bursaries and other sources of funding available to you, visit the GIIDAE website.
