Overview If you've completed RIBA parts 1 and 2 and studied architecture, this Part 3 architecture degree apprenticeship allows you to earn a salary and pass your Final Examination in Professional Practice (pending confirmation of the course's RIBA accreditation).
You'll learn about current practice issues, legal and building legislation, and contractual issues in the industry. You'll also build your knowledge of the environment and sustainability and learn about the social and economic side of the construction industry while developing your practice and project management skills.
Following an induction day on campus, you'll study at the University in 3 blocks of 3 days during term time. You'll spend the rest of the time applying your skills and getting practical experience in the workplace. The Government or your employer pay your tuition fees, so your architecture degree apprenticeship doesn’t cost you anything.
When you graduate, you'll have the qualifications you need to apply for registration as a qualified architect (this is pending confirmation of the course's RIBA accreditation).
Accreditation This course is accredited by the Architects Registration Board (ARB). Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) accreditation is pending.
Once RIBA accreditation is confirmed, you can apply for the Final Certificate in Architecture (Part 3) when you complete this course. You must already have RIBA Parts 1 and 2, as well as the minimum required practical training, documented in your Professional Experience and Development Record. With your Final Certificate in Architecture, you'll be eligible to join the register of architects held by the ARB.
