Equip yourself with knowledge, expertise and strategic insight with this fully online and part-time Master of Public Health (MPH).
Throughout the programme you will explore, in small groups and individually, topics such as principles and practices within a global context, as well as methodologies and approaches from an ethical, social and economic standpoint.
This online MPH is fully accredited by APHEA (Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation). The curriculum has been designed to allow students to elect studying specialist modules to advance specific expertise in public health, such as managing crises and disasters, programme and policy challenges in low-income countries, and health economics.
Why study this subject?
On this programme you will have the opportunity to critically appraise and apply public health knowledge, whilst equipping you with skills to evaluate options for strategic development and programme interventions. Throughout your studies, you will discover the significance of leading and managing health systems, skills managing crises and disasters, and explore applied epidemiological research for public health.
You can elect to study specialist modules to advance specific expertise in public health, such as managing crises and disasters, programme and policy challenges in low-income countries, and health economics. The modules you choose could enable you to pursue our specialist pathways in Global Mental Health, International Public Health or Management of Health Systems.

This programme is designed to be studied wholly online and part-time. Teaching is delivered through our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, which provides students with access to all resources required for interactive study online. On this platform you will be encouraged to work collaboratively with classmates and actively read around your topic through our comprehensive library of eBooks and journals.
Career destinations
The MPH provides a solid foundation for public health research and practice in a variety of public, NGO, and international settings. With the knowledge and skills this programme will give you, you'll be able to apply public health principles into effect in a variety of settings including research, practice, policy and at the interface of applied research.
Successful completion of this programme may lead to roles such as an Environmental Health Practitioner, Epidemiologist, Health Improvement Practitioner, Health and Safety Adviser.
