Summary
This programme is designed for people that wish to follow an MA programme in the field of TESOL, but have very little, or no experience, of teaching. It provides an excellent first step towards a career in TESOL, and gives you the essential skills and knowledge necessary to start a teaching career. The programme examines the two essential elements in language teaching: the study of language itself, and the processes of learning and teaching language, including the 4R skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also explore the practical aspects of managing a language-learning classroom, and have the opportunity to specialise in a specific area of TESOL, such as grammar and vocabulary teaching, materials analysis, young learners, or language assessment.
