**Overview**
Take a world view as you develop your knowledge and understanding of international business finance and economics. And enhance your comprehension of the broader context of how businesses operate in the international economy. MSc International Business Finance and Economics is part of our Applied Training Programme, which is designed to provide key skills in economics. You’ll take compulsory modules in the areas of business and international finance. As this programme has a particular focus on the international economy, you'll also take modules specifically designed to give you specialist knowledge in this area. You’ll finish your course by writing a dissertation, which will be supervised by a member of the School of Economics.
We offer specialised structural support to help you negotiate your Master’s course. This includes compulsory, intensive pre-sessional training before the start of teaching on your course modules. This training incorporates the techniques of calculus and statistical methods in the economic context, and also introduces you to the specialist econometric software STATA that you'll use throughout your MSc Programme. Over the course of the year, we’ll also give you training in the use of various online data sources that are likely to be useful in your dissertation research.

**About This Course**
MSc International Business Finance and Economics is part of our Applied Training Programme, which is designed to provide key skills in economics. It’s ideal if you’re a graduate without an economics background, wishing to develop the analytical skills of an economist. It’s also suitable if you’re an economics graduate wishing to develop specialist expertise in this area without committing to full research training.
The compulsory component of your degree consists of taught modules in Economic Concepts, Finance, Financial Econometrics, International Finance, and Multinational Firms. In addition to these, you’ll choose an option from a range of modules, including Financial Mathematics and Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
You’ll write a dissertation towards the end of your 12 months with us from within the area of international business finance and economics, which will be supervised by a member of the School of Economics.
