Ocean Engineering is a cross-disciplinary subject overlapping with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Oceanography, Mathematics and Physics. The program is focused on Marine Hydrodynamics application to Ocean Engineering problems. This includes basic and fundamental research on environmental fluid mechanics topics, as well as traditional and state-of-the-art applications in ocean engineering. Marine Renewable Energy, Impact of Climate Change on Coastal Structures, and Coastal and Offshore Engineering are among the most critical and strategic topics for today’s and future economy and development of Scotland, UK, and the world.
