This is a flexible course with routes to both Postgraduate Diploma and the full MSc possible within just two years of full-time study. Both the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc route lead to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council at the end of the two year course. You will adopt a person-centred approach to care, develop critical evaluation skills and develop the caring professionalism required to thrive in your career as a nurse.
Your prior experiences will contribute to the learning opportunities within the course and together these will provide eligibility to register as a mental health nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

5 GCSEs Grade C or above including Maths, English and Science or equivalent. Honours degree 2:2 or above. Relevant professional work experience in a service user context equivalent to 450hrs (12 full-time (37.5hrs) weeks). Experience of education or study within the last five years is preferred. In addition: You will be expected to complete a portfolio to evidence how your past experiences are relevant to a career in nursing. Admission is subject to occupational health screening and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. If English is not your first language you must have achieved at least level 7 in all four components of IELTS (listening, reading, writing and speaking).
