This programme delivers core modules over the 4 years, which are timetabled to allow the learner to develop their knowledge and skills over time and at a pace which allows for anyone working and studying. At present this programme is a closed cohort with the selection process being undertaken by a University collaborative partner. The core modules make up 120 credits of the course, and includes 20-credit modules on Consultation and Physical examination skills, Advanced Pathophysiology, Advancing Mental Health across the spectrum, work-based learning, and a 40 credit dissertation module. As part of this programme students will study the Non-Medical prescribing as an additional award.
Graduate destinations Students will develop their knowledge and skills needed for the role of the Paramedic in Primary and Urgent care, therefore increasing their prospects of a career in these areas of health care. Completion of the MSc will also allow a pathway into further study at level 8 PhD.

1st or 2nd class honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course. Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) may be considered for relevant prior learning at the same academic level.
This programme is a closed cohort with selection aimed at paramedics who are currently working in Primary or Urgent Care setting or wish to start working in these areas of practice.
