Summary
The course is designed both for students who want to enhance their understanding of the social, cultural, political and economic history and present condition of Africa and for those who want to go on to further primary research. The programmes provides intensive research and language training for those who wish to go on to prepare a doctoral dissertation, but it is also a free-standing postgraduate degree course in its own right.
