With today’s businesses having to do more with less, implementing economic theory is key. This is why we put the practical application of economics at the heart of our economics degree. By cutting away the abstract ideas and positioning economics firmly in the real world, we can help you apply advanced economics in your chosen field. Based on such secure foundations, our economics degree is ideal for students, with at least elementary numeracy, to learn the core economics techniques they need to progress their career. As the first university in the UK to offer a master’s in applied economics online, this course gives those unable to interrupt their careers to attend campus, a unique opportunity to make their mark.

Entry requirements: Typically you should have a first or second class bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent. We welcome applications from those with a 2:2 honours degree (or its international equivalent) in subjects with a high level of economics content
To apply for this course, you must have an undergraduate degree in a social science or business-related discipline such as business administration, finance, accounting, international trade, banking, financial management, public finance or politics
We may make an offer based on a lower grade if you can provide evidence of your suitability for the degree
