This programme is based on a strong collaboration between our Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) and the Business School. Financial Mathematics is a degree in finance with a very strong mathematical background. This postgraduate degree contains a combination of courses that provides a strong analytical background and tools for successful careers in the public and private financial sectors, as well as for progression to PhD studies.

Our minimum entry requirement for this programme is a degree in a numerate subject such as Computing Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics, at 2:1 (upper second class) UK Honours level (or an Honours degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
Applicants with a 2:2 or equivalent will be reviewed by the selectors for suitability.
