Summary
Master biosciences as you take your biomedical knowledge to the top level. Our new Biosciences Masters Degree will allow you to further your academic knowledge as you explore a range of complex bioscience-focused subjects. You will also have the opportunity to explore an area of interest by choosing optional modules and formulating a dissertation.
As a masters degree, this course is largely research and academia driven allowing you to develop your knowledge beyond undergraduate study as you master the subject of biosciences. You will learn how to apply biomedical techniques in the laboratory while exploring cellular pathology (the study of disease in organs, tissues and cells).
Other core areas that you will study include advanced pharmacology and toxicology as well as bioinformatics and data analysis. You will prepare for your own investigation-led research projects by sharpening your research and academic skills before producing a scientific dissertation based on your personal area of interest. Our optional modules allow you to shape your studies around your career aspirations and specialism. Choose from topics such as advanced analytical science and diagnostic techniques as you tailor your learning.
