Summary

For those in health and social care professions, this course covers a range of healthcare issues allowing for careers in health and social care, education, leisure and health promotion and management.

Providing you with the skills and knowledge to function at an advanced level within your area of expertise. There is an emphasis on the application of knowledge to practise and the development of leadership skills.

You will build knowledge and skills in the core areas of health and wellbeing: challenges, and controversies, advanced research methods alongside critical application of advanced compassionate communication in health and social care. You can choose to study either ethics and professional decision making or transforming practice through person-centred collective leadership.

Alternatively, you may choose to gain enhanced knowledge in, diabetes care, stroke care or forensic healthcare.

To proceed to a Masters, you must complete a dissertation project.
