We like to think of our MBA programme as an MBA plus. By working with industry bodies, qualification providers and the local business community we’ve managed to pack in a lot of extra value:
Gain an additional qualification in project management. Train to use Tableau business analytics software. Master this contemporary approach to business management. Partner with a professional mentor through Solent Futures. Make valuable contacts and plan your career development.
These additional elements blend seamlessly with our core curriculum. Marketing, financial planning, strategy, human resources, leadership, analytics and corporate social responsibility are all studied in detail.
You’ll be guided through your studies by an accomplished teaching team with a suite of specialist and high-level qualifications. These qualifications underpin the team’s long history of work in senior management, corporate governance, consultancy and research. And you won’t just be benefitting from the experience of the core teaching team - their insight is complemented by a packed schedule of respected industry speakers. These guests from industry provide valuable contributions to both unit design and course delivery, ensuring that the MBA retains an up-to-date business focus
You will also take advantage of our close relationships with the business community. Guest speaker programmes, site visits and the completion of work based assignments all combine to help you build your skillset and plan your career development. Professional mentoring and collaborative working help to refine your leadership skills, preparing you for the challenge of steering teams to success.
Another key component of your MBA will be critical debate facilitated by our blogging and discussion forums. These are an integral part of unit delivery and are supported by a modern virtual learning environment. Work like this is the perfect way to improve your critical thinking – an essential skill in business leadership.
