Meeting the growing demand for masters level professionals in finance and accounting, this course is suitable if you are from a general finance background and wish to gain specialist knowledge in accounting and finance, or if you have an accounting background and would like to enhance your skills.
You study current literature, international accounting standards, worldwide events and companies financial accounts, learning how real organisations operate and the accounting and financial strategies and decisions they implement. The course is respected for its innovative practice-based teaching and the development of applied knowledge and skills within the modern financial business environment.

You must be a ACCA passed finalist or a qualified accountant. You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam.
Overseas applicants from countries whose first language is not English must normally produce evidence of competence in English. An IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent) is the standard for non-native speakers of English.
If your English language skill is currently below an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English qualification.
