This course is aimed at early career educators, as well as experienced practitioners in health and social care. It is designed to develop your educational knowledge base, and practical teaching skills. The course is flexible to your personal requirements as you can take it to the level of qualification that you require.
How you learn
You will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of diverse and innovative teaching and learning approaches, which will allow you to develop your educational practice and educational provision in the workplace.
The course allows you to learn, engage and develop your practice in a multi-professional community which mirrors the workplace. It can be completed either taught (campus-based) or via distance learning.

Entry requirements | Academic Qualification Normally, applicants will hold a first degree / professional qualification which is recognised in the UK in a related health care subject. If the applicant does not hold a first degree, they will be required to submit a piece of written work with their application demonstrating their ability to write to level 6 standard. Other formally certified qualifications Equivalent international academic and/or professional qualifications will be accepted. Applicants are usually required to provide at least one reference evidencing their capability for postgraduate study. Level of English language capability International students studying with us over distance learning require an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each skill area. Relevant work or work-related experience Usually 2 years full time experience (or part-time equivalence) in relevant professional practice over the preceding 10 years. An appropriate professional qualification. Applicants will be motivated and prepared to study independently and autonomously. They must be prepared to embrace the challenges of Masters level study including online distance learning, have access to a reliable internet connection to support engagement and have sound IT skills. The programme is intellectually challenging and applicants should be prepared to actively contribute to discussion and debate; critically reflect upon own and others¿ practice and; explore and evaluate the evidence base underpinning their chosen course of study. |
