Summary
Opera 360: : The Opera Industry is a unique, industry-led, digital course that invites both opera lovers and arts professionals alike to gain unrivalled, behind the scenes knowledge of the opera industry. This online-taught programme offers detailed investigation into both the artistic and administrative practices of the industry, with live seminars from illustrious opera insiders.
Participants can choose to undertake one of two course pathways:

Masters course: the completion of six modules is required, along with the 20-credit Research Skills module and the 40-credit Major Project. Modules are to be completed full-time over two years (you can study part-time up to five years).

Short Course: individual modules can be chosen that represent particular personal interest, which can be undertaken as stand-alone learning (contact RWCMD directly if you wish to study through the short course pathway)

Entry requirements | Entry is by interview, and candidates should be able to demonstrate significant experience of and engagement with the opera world. Professionals already working in these areas but seeking to enhance their skills are encouraged to apply. Minimum entry requirements usually include a 2:1 degree in music or an equivalent qualification, although the College is able to consider applications from people without formal qualifications if they have an exceptional level of ability, practical experience, and a good understanding of the opera profession. All applicants are expected to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the opera field. Final selection is made on the basis of an interview. |
